Manchester City and Liverpool could move in for Bukayo Saka in the summer, if Arsenal fail to finish in the top four. The absence of Champions League football for the team could result in them losing one of their top players right now.
The youngster’s contract runs out in 2024, and Arsenal have not been able to tie him down to a new deal. Although there is still time for him to commit to a future at the Emirates, a move from one of the best clubs in the world with guaranteed Champions League football might be too much to turn down.
Bukayo Saka attracting interest from Man City and Liverpool
“I think that’s great news when you have a lot of talk and people willing [to move] for your players, it’s a really good sign,” Arteta said back in January.
“They should be proud because that means they are doing extremely good work.
“I am really happy with Bukayo, and with what he’s doing, with how he’s developing and the importance he has on the team.
“Most importantly, with the impact that he’s able to make in each game. This is something that we want to keep improving in each game, because he has the capacity to do it.”
This season, Bukayo Saka has scored six goals and provided four assists in 21 league games this season. As a result, any transfer for the Arsenal academy graduate will have to be for a huge fee. So, interested clubs will have to go all-in for the player if they really want to sign him in the near future.
