BTS ARMYs can now breathe a sigh of relief, for the man of the hour will arrive soon. The K-pop septet’s birthday is just around the corner, but the group’s eldest member has decided to surprise fans with the ultimate gift: his much anticipated homecoming.
On June 2 (KST), BIGHIT MUSIC unveiled further details about the global sensation’s forthcoming spectacular celebrations of their 11th debut anniversary with the annual BTS Festa. The long-awaited news confirmed that Jin, the first member of the group to begin his necessary military duty, will officially return for the 2024 BTS Festa and celebrate the historic day with the K-pop act’s fans.
The boy band’s label confirmed that a “in-person event led by BTS member Jin” will take place on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Jamsil Arena in Jamsil Sports Complex, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

BIGHIT added, “This event was planned to fulfill Jin’s desire to spend meaningful time with ARMY in person on BTS’ debut day. We ask you to join us in expressing our gratitude for your steadfast support for BTS.”
This private BTS Festa event will have two sessions. The first section, “Jin’s Greetings,” will feature a meet-and-greet with the Astronaut crooner. 1000 lucky winners will have the unique opportunity to meet Jin up close. According to the official announcement poster, the first session will be “a time for light hugs with Jin per request from the artist.” It is scheduled to last three hours and will not be streamed online.
Following the Greetings session, the second event of the day will begin at 8 p.m. KST and run around one hour. The “Message from Jin” event will include the beloved musician showcasing a variety of performances for his followers. Weverse will webcast the second session exclusively for ARMY Members. More information will be provided in due course.
International fans who won’t be able to attend the special BTS anniversary event celebrating Jin’s spectacular comeback expressed their heartbreak on X/Twitter shortly after the official announcements went live. While some recalled RM’s statements about Jin “filling the space,” other international fans burst into tears at the prospect of not meeting their favorite singer, who never fails to make their hearts soar on Cloud 9.
A fan wrote, “I needed additional strength on that day. “I am not their strongest soldier.” Another BTS ARMY member responded similarly, writing, “SK armys getting hugs from seokjin and an event for festa…””International armies are always taking an L.” A third cried, “I will be so happy for Seokjin and the lucky army, but I will also be crying in the corner.😅😢😂😭”
Additionally, the extra special event in which Jin is the primary character, BIGHIT MUSIC has announced plans for a ‘Ground Event’ to be conducted in the region surrounding Futsal Field and Sports Park within Seoul Sports Complex. ARMY Membership holders can enter to win a selected keepsake in the ARMY ZONE on June 13th. At the PLAY ZONE, fans may participate in a variety of activities and connect with other group supporters.
