It was once the monopoly for BSNL broadband in India and with days BSNL has deteriorated in a severe way. A lot of wrong decisions and no exciting plans or improvements in its service has cost BSNL to lose a lot of subscribers over time.

Even though its still the leader in the wireline subscribers market, however, as the latest February 2021 report from TRAI shows BSNL has lost chunks of subscribers and not only BSNL, a lot of reputed ones in this business like MTNL, Tata telecom and Reliance communication have lost customers.

The biggest losers have to be both BSNL and MTNL, losing as much as 1,41,648 and 18,802 wireline subscribers as per TRAI.
