The former Sporting CP midfielder has been an incredible addition to Manchester United’s midfield. Since joining the club in January 2020, he has made 239 appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions, scoring 79 goals and providing 67 assists.
He has also helped the club end their trophy drought since 2017 and win the EFL Cup and the FA Cup over the past couple of seasons. And now, he will likely be staying at the club till 2028, since there is the option to extend his deal for one more season.
His new salary will make him one of the highest-earning members of the squad, which is deserved given his all-round contribution to the development of the team.
