Brazil will play the USA for the gold medal in women’s football at the Paris Olympics 2024. The Selecao defeated Spain 4-2 in the semifinals to reach the finals.
The World Cup winners were the favourites heading into the game. However, Brazil were on top from the get-go and never looked like relenting. In spite of a late goal from La Roja, Brazil were able to comfortably see the game through after a huge lead.

Salma Paralluelo scored a brace for her country, including the last goal of the game 12 minutes into stoppage time. However, it wasn’t enough to trouble her opponents. Spain will now face Germany for the bronze medal on 9 August 2024, at 6:30PM IST.
After a dominant showing in the semifinal, it is anybody’s guess as to who walks out with the gold when the two stalwarts of women’s football meet. Owing to their history, USA might just be the favourites on paper, but you can never rule out a surprise in football.
On the other hand, Brazil and USA will clash on August 10, 2024. The match will kick off at 8:30PM IST. It will be available to watch on Jio Cinema and the Sports 18 network.
