Brazil have progressed to the quarter finals of the 2022 World Cup, defeating South Korea 4-1 in their Round of 16 fixture. The first half contained some of the best football in the entirety of the tournament, with the South American side at their free-flowing best.
Vinicius Jr opened the scoring for Brazil with a very calm finish. The Real Madrid star chipped the ball over a number of charging defenders, including the goalkeeper, to find the back of the net. And that was just the beginning of the goals.

The Selecao were then awarded a penalty for a rather soft foul on Richarlison. It seemed like Raphinha would be taking the penalty at first. But, the Barcelona winger handed the ball to Neymar shortly after. And he made no mistake from the spot, leaving the keeper confused enough to slot the ball past him.
Thiago Silva turned provider for his country, assisting Richarlison for a beautifully executed team goal. It was Joga Bonito at its best at that point, and South Korea seemed destined for a much heavier margin of defeat.
Lucas Pacqueta added to the advantage shortly after, and it was 4-0 by the time the two teams went back into the tunnel. Richarlison could have added to their tally, sprinting freely on the counter attack, but was denied by the goalkeeper.
South Korea were able to pull one back, after Paik Seung-ho scored a volley from long range, in what could be one of the contenders for goal of the tournament. But, it was too little, too late for the Asian side as they bowed out against the number 1 ranked side in the world.
