Only days after their ISL Cup win, Mumbai City FC have signed Brandon Fernandes from FC Goa on a free transfer to bolster their squad. The Islanders have a big summer ahead, where they plan to overhaul the squad for manager Petr Kratky.

Jorge Pereyra Diaz, Alberto Noguera and Rahul Bheke have already left the club, and will all head to Bengaluru FC for the new season. Fernandes’ arrival will help add more strength to the midfield, while they have also recruited Noufal PN from Gokulam Kerala to bolster their attack.

The 29-year-old achieved a rich vein of form this past season for his hometown club as they made it to the ISL semifinals. And now, he will be joining the Cup winners in what could be a huge move for his career.

In 20 ISL games this season, Brandon Fernandes scored three goals and provided four assists while also being a key factor in dictating play.

Noufal, on the other hand, made 53 appearances for Gokulam, contributing 5 goals and 14 assists during his time there. He will now compete alongside other talented Indian wingers such as Bipin Singh, Vikram Partap Singh and Lz Chhangte for game time.
