Borussia Dortmund are now in direct talks with Mino Raiola for Donyell Malen, in an attempt to agree on personal terms for the transfer of the PSV player. He is the main target for the black and yellow club this summer and is eyed as the replacement for Jadon Sancho, who completed his long-awaited transfer to Manchester United a few weeks ago.

Once personal terms will be agreed between the two parties, Dortmund will make an official bid for the player to PSV. The negotiations could be easier given that Raiola is also the agent for Erling Haaland, who is the biggest star at the Westfalenstadion right now.

Malen came through the Ajax and Arsenal academies before returning to the Netherlands to join PSV. In the 20/21 season, he scored 27 goals and provided 10 assists across 45 appearances in all competitions, making him an all-round forward and a great replacement for Sancho and potentially, Haaland as well.

The 22-year-old has a contract with PSV until 2024, and is valued at €30 million on Transfermarkt. So, Borussia Dortmund will have to make a tempting bid to get their man. Malen matches their strategy of recruiting young players and turning them into world-class players. The striker has earned 18 caps for the Dutch national team and has scored 2 goals for them. He was also a part of the Euro 2020 squad for the Netherlands, registering 2 assists during the campaign.
