A verbal agreement was in place between Adeyemi and Dortmund for months. With the agreement on the transfer fee, the deal is set to go through in the coming few days. Paperworks and contracts for the move are being prepared, and the official announcement could be made as soon as this week.

Interestingly, Karim Adeyemi won’t be Borussia Dortmund’s replacement for Erling Haaland. The Norwegian forward is set to leave at the end of the season, but Dortmund will be looking at another striker to replace him.

The youngster has scored 23 goals across all competitions, and is one of the best in his age group. He always prioritised a move to the black and yellow club, despite strong interest from several other top clubs.

Adeyemi is Borussia Dortmund’s third signing of the summer transfer window. Niklas Sule and Nico Schlotterbeck have already been announced by the club. And soon, the arrival of the talented striker from Salzburg will also be made official.
