Barcelona and Real Madrid German sensation

Borussia Dortmund are leading the race to sign RB Salzburg star Karim Adeyemi. The centre-forward is expected to be the replacement for Erling Haaland if the Norwegian leaves the club in the summer. The plan for the black and yellow club is to sign Adeyemi in the summer and not in January.

The situation surrounding Erling Haaland is not very clear right now either. Although he has a release clause worth €75 million valid from next summer, Dortmund are in negotiations with his agent, Mino Raiola to possibly delay it to 2023.

Borussia Dortmund confident to sign Karim Adeyemi in 2022

As for Karim Adeyemi, it is important to note that there is nothing agreed between Salzburg and Dortmund just yet. But, they are confident that they can sign the player in the summer. Borussia Dortmund consider him their priority signing in the summer, and will be facing competition from Liverpool for the youngster.

Adeyemi has been in red-hot form in the Austrian Bundesliga, scoring 11 goals in 16 games. In the Champions League, he has netted three goals and provided two assists in six group stage games.

As a result of his great form, he was called up to the German national team this summer. Since making his debut in September, he has earned 3 caps and scored his first goal for the national team as well.

The 19-year-old is valued at €20 million on Transfermarkt, and has three years left on his current deal. So, there is a good chance that he won’t come on the cheap for Borussia Dortmund next summer.
