On 1st July, ESPN was the first time airing the docuseries Born to Play that just has touched down on Netflix in the United States. It is one and half hour documentary which is directed by Virdiana Lieberman who had previously produced and directed documentaries like Last Run, Hypotheticals, and Fattitude.
This docuseries is following the story of the athletes of the Boston Renegades who are respectively women’s tackle football team. You will see the story of never-give-up unpaid athletes who have put their life on hold to touch their sporting dreams. It was announced that the title will back to Netflix in late June as a member of Netflix. The documentary is producing by Park Pictures.
It is very rare that ESPN is adding a title as with several Disney-owned contents on Netflix US. In current years Disney has turned the tap off to most of the providers with Netflix that has loosened the most losing pay-1 window films and also the other TV series from the preference of Disney Channel and also ABC.
It was seen previously that Netflix has notably co-produced the most-watched ESPN documentary ever like The Last dance that Netflix also has released internationally like a Netflix Original series and launch on Netflix US last summer.
This new ‘Born to Play’ documentary has complemented a large array of American Football documentaries on Netflix. Last Chance U is mainly the most popular but QB1: Beyond the Lights and currently released ‘We are the Brooklyn’ saints is also worth a watch. The people who do not have Netflix also can watch it on ESPN’s player.
