Some photos don’t need a filter — they just hit differently. Film producer Boney Kapoor proved exactly that on April 11, 2026, when he took to Instagram to share a never-seen-before family photo from a vacation in Los Angeles, featuring his late wife Sridevi and their daughter Janhvi Kapoor — when she was just one year old.

The caption said it all: *“In L A. My love holding our love janu, who was just 1 year old.”*

Simple. Pure. Devastating in the best possible way.

## Boney Kapoor’s Unseen Photo That Stopped the Internet

The vintage snapshot, taken nearly three decades ago, shows Sridevi cradling a tiny Janhvi in her arms, both dressed impeccably — because of course Sridevi never had an off day, even on holiday. The late actress wore a multi-colored striped sweater, wore her hair down, and flashed her signature bright smile. Janhvi, dressed like a little princess, looks completely at ease in her mother’s arms.

It’s the kind of picture that reminds you why fans still hold Sridevi so close to their hearts. [Sridevi](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sridevi), widely regarded as one of Bollywood’s greatest actresses ever, passed away in February 2018, and moments like this keep her legacy alive in the most personal way.

## Janhvi Then vs. Now

That tiny girl in Sridevi’s arms has since grown into one of Bollywood’s most talked-about actresses. Janhvi Kapoor made her debut with *Dhadak* (2018) and has steadily built a career of her own. Her next major project is the Telugu film *Peddi*, where she stars alongside Ram Charan.

Boney Kapoor regularly shares such precious throwbacks, and every single time, it strikes a chord with millions who grew up watching Sridevi rule the big screen.
