Netflix, at last, opens up about the confirmation of the new series Bodkin, a new series that belongs to Higher Ground productions following the exclusive reporting in May 2022. In the lid that’s now lifted on the series. The latest announcement also declared the name of the cast.

The story of the series is a darkly comedic thriller about a remote team of podcasters who execute to investigate the strange disappearance of three strangers in an idyllic, coast Irish town. As our heroes are trying to discern fact from fiction about the case, about their colleagues, and most painfully, themselves the series challenges our perception with truth and that exposes such tales we can tell ourselves to justify our beliefs or validate our fears.

Jez Scharf Is the lead writer for the series and also become engaged as showrunner along with Alex Metcalf.
Metcalf has been engaged in a slew of high-profile projects containing and serving as executive producer on the Loudest Voice and HBO’s Sharp Objects. He also served as co-producer on Kingdom which arrive on Netflix.
Tonia Davis from Higher Ground Productions serves as executive producer who was involved with Higher Ground’s Netflix outcome containing, We The People, Waffles + Mochi, and the yet-to-be-released Rustin. Bodkin: Production Status
The multiple production listings confirm that the project is still due to get underway on 27th June and the film in both Dublin and West Cork in Ireland.
West Cork for those who still don’t know about the remote part of Ireland often referred to as one of the last bastions of “old friend”.
The Southern Star in Ireland also has reported that an open casting call was being held for the production on 14th June. They also cire that some of the shooting will take place at Union Hall and also Glandore for the seven-part drama contemporary.
The new productions are all set to throughout last not the rest of the summer and wrapping at any point between September and November 2022.
