Netflix’s highly anticipated comedy-drama film ‘Blockbuster’ unveils the official trailer of the show. Her stories of the show follow a team of employees of the last Blockbuster store in America that has done whatever they can ale to keep the film home on rental business alive, and are set to lose their jobs.
This is the first time that the project returned in early November 2021, that has officially confirmed by Netflix on 17th November. The show has been made by Vanessa Ramos for 10-30 minutes long episodes. In Deadline’s press release, Tracey Pakosta has served as the head of the comedy at Netflix, told, “This is ultimately the story of a dedicated group of co-workers having a lot of heart. The hilarious thing is Randall Park has signed on to play the lead, it’s a no-brainer.”
After the primary announcement back in November 2021, we also have had many of the news, containing the release date, so let’s start with that:

Blockbuster: Plot
After several descriptions, we have got a pretty good concept of what can we expect from the show.
After the perpetually available on-demand content about the group of such nostalgic workers and their small-town community arrive together to try for saving the last Blockbuster Video store in this world. Blockbuster: Cast
At first Randall Park had confirmed to feature. In the middle of this February 2022 Melissa, and Fumero participated in the cast, and the other cast members declared in March 2022.
Blockbuster is definitely a fantastic comedy and contains six main lead characters:
- Randall Park will appear as Timmy, one of the main leads described as a dreamer and also a lover of the film.
- Melissa Fumero plays the role of Eliza who is a determined woman in her 40s and also dedicated this to her mother whose marriage with a high school lover that’s rocks. She quit Harvard after the first semester to begin a family and now working at Blockbuster.
- Olga Merediz will play the role Connie has described as maternal and working in Blockbuster as the friends that she has made there and the certainty, not for that money.
- Tyler Alvarez appears as Carlos who is a teen male in his 20s and is also described as a film aficionado as it can lead him to visit as a snob.
- Madeleine Arthur appears as Hanah who is a young girl in her 20s and is introduced as a girl the next door.
- JB Smoove appears as Percy, the quick strip mall and the owner of the store. His daughter works in the Blockbuster store.
- Kamala Fairburn plays Kayla, the teenager for those main cast members, and has been described to be very stylish and cool for the school.
Apart from them, we will also see Ashley Alexander was featured in 2015’s Love on the Sidelines feature Mila in the series. Robin Bradley also gas featured in The CW’s Supergirl comes as Miranda.
Blockbuster: Behind the Blockbuster
Vanessa Ramos has spearheaded those projects for globally and Netflix. Ramos holds such an impressive resume as a co-producer on Superstore door serving as a writer on other NBC series like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Crash, and Kenana on Netflix’s Big Moth shows. In this series, we will also see David Caspe and Jackie Clarke as the writer and co-producer.
Jim Davis serves as an executive producer under his Davis Entertainment banner. David Entertainment worked on Shaft and Dolomite Is My name for Netflix.
Jackie Clarke, David Caspe, John Fox, and Vanessa Ramos serve as executive producers along with Bridger Winegar and Robert Petrovic appear as the co-executive producers.
The show has been directed by Patman Benz who worked on A.P. Bio, Brooklyn Nine-Nine also has worked on A.P. Bio, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine also directed such of the episodes on the latest HBO Max series Winning Time: The Riise of the Lakers Dynasty.
We can able to expose Aleysa Young. Katherine Locke O’Brien is also on-boarding for the direct episodes in season 1 also. O’Brien has directed A.P. Bio, Kenaan, Saved by The Bell, and Ghosts.

All ten episodes of a blockbuster are set to hit on Netflix on 3rd November 2022.
