Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chip seems to have become the talk of the town, the latest and best offering from the chipmaker has been selling like hotcakes recently and moreover, every premium smartphone launching is powered by this chip. Black Shark does not want to be left out of this and the brand is planning to launch a brand new performance smartphone in the market.
Black Shark could unveil this smartphone under the 5S Series:
Reputed tipster Digital Chat Station shared the news on Weibo and going by the post, the smartphone is likely to belong to the premium category featuring a 2K display, an FHD+ resolution with 1080p support, and a 4,790mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging which is just amazing.
Coming to the optics department, the smartphone has a triple camera setup on the rear with a 64MP primary IMX686 sensor, a 13MP secondary lens, and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, we will see a 16MP selfie shooter. The tipster has gone on to add that this device will be Black Shark’s next flagship offering or it could also be the refreshed model of an already existing device.
In June 2022, we had gotten some details with respect to the same device, at the time, it was reported to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chip but at the time, Qualcomm was yet to announce the SD 8+ Gen1 chip, the phone is likely to be a part of the Black Shark 5S Series, the latest flagship lineup from the Chinese OEM.
