Call of Duty just dropped its next big update, and it’s arriving with a shadowy new Operator, a loaded BlackCell tier, and a fresh wave of Store bundles. Season 05 of **Black Ops 7** and **Warzone** goes live July 23 at 9 AM PT, and there’s a lot packed into this one.

## What’s New in Season 05

The star of the season is **Spectre**, a near-mythical assassin known only through fragmented reports and unsolved case files. Players who buy the premium Battle Pass unlock Spectre instantly, along with a Legendary weapon blueprint, an emote, and an animated calling card.

For players who go all in, **BlackCell** brings a second Operator, Cipher — a hybrid combat experiment turned mercenary leader — plus his crew of allies unlocked through challenges. BlackCell owners also get exclusive skins, Mastercraft weapon blueprints, bonus daily challenges, and a loyalty XP bonus that stacks the more seasons you buy into.

The Battle Pass itself carries over 100 unlockables, including two brand-new free weapons — the FG42 Assault Rifle and the dual-wield Gremlin SMG — alongside dozens of skins, blueprints, finishing moves, and emotes.

## Store Bundles Worth a Look

This season’s Store lineup leans into variety. The **Sand Sovereign** bundle brings a desert-themed Operator and weapon skins, while **Sentry’s Watch** offers a dragon-inspired Mastercraft LMG. For something flashier, **Un-Synced** includes an Operator skin with three swappable heads, and **Combat Cabinet** goes full retro-arcade with a walking arcade cabinet skin. Rounding it out are **Wild Drip** and **Shadow Wolf**, each built around a distinct Operator and weapon pairing.

There’s also a tie-in for **Modern Warfare 4** pre-orders, unlocking an exclusive Gilded Pearl camo pack that carries over into Black Ops 7 and Warzone.

Call of Duty remains one of gaming’s most enduring franchises, with roots tracing back over two decades, as noted on [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_of_Duty).
