Napoli have reinforced their midfield significantly on deadline day, signing Billy Gilmour from Brighton after officially announcing the arrival of Scott McTominay from Manchester United. The two Scotland internationals have been recruited on a permanent deal to bolster the engine room of the team.
The former Chelsea midfielder has joined the Italian club for a fee worth €13 million. A portion of that fee will be going to the West Londoners as part of the sell-on clause they had agreed with the Seagulls.

If the transfer is on & that was his last game then what a performance:
• 89mins
• 89% Pass Completion
• 13 Passes Into Final Third
• 100% Tackle (3/3)
• 60% Duels (6/10)

The 23-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the Azzurri till 2029, and could be a significant addition to the squad. The club already has Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Stanislav Lobotka as the first-choice options in midfield.
But the addition of McTominay and Gilmour will help enhance the depth of the squad, providing cover in case of any injuries. The squad is comparatively lighter since Napoli will not be competing in any European competition this season.
Will Victor Osimhen stay at Napoli?
He will not be moving to any major European club as the transfer window is closed. A move to Saudi Arabia could be on the cards.
