The wait is over — Bigg Boss Malayalam 8’s pre-show battle, Agnipareeksha, has kicked off, and it’s already brutal. Forty commoners walked in chasing a house spot, but only a handful walked out with an edge. Here’s who’s leading the pack.

## How Agnipareeksha Works?

The opening test, Manichithrathazhu, asked all 40 hopefuls to match the correct key to its lock. Only 20 survived, then judges [Akhil Marar, Ranjini Haridas and Riyas Salim](https://www.pinkvilla.com/entertainment/south/3-malayalam-ott-releases-to-watch-this-week-antony-varghese-pepes-kattalan-to-aroopi-1404833) split them into teams for tougher rounds.

## The Infinity Pendant Winners

| Winner | Task | Skill Tested |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Pranav | Cup pyramid stacking | Speed & precision |
| Parvathy | Kulam-Kara | Concentration & focus |
| Shijin | Ball-in-glass toss | Accuracy under pressure |

Pranav struck first, out-stacking rivals in a timed cup-pyramid challenge. Parvathy, a makeup artist from Attingal, then claimed hers by out-focusing the competition in Kulam-Kara. Shijin rounded out the trio with a clutch ball-toss finish.

## What the Pendant Actually Means

Each Infinity Pendant hands its holder a mystery advantage — the show hasn’t revealed the full power yet, but in past Bigg Boss seasons such perks have swung eliminations and alliances early on. Worth watching closely as [Bigg Boss Malayalam](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bigg_Boss_(Malayalam_TV_series)) has a history of game-changing twists tied to host Mohanlal’s format.

Meanwhile, eight contestants already landed in the danger zone — a rough start before the season proper even begins.
