AMD seems to plan big this time and as we guessed previously, the Red team finally plans to take down the high-end NVIDIA GPUs this time. It also seems AMD will continue its RX 5000 momentum and as per previous leaks, we might see a Radeon RX 5950 XT GPU.

Now there are different theories going on, whether Big Navi will be AMD’s hinted RX 5900 series or will be based out of the upcoming RDNA 2 architecture to compete with NVIDIA’s Ampere GPUs and be named as the Radeon RX 6000 series.

There’s a new leak by @CyberCatPunk who claims to have got a slide detailing the config of D32310/15, a GPU that appeared in RRA certifications last week which indeed is from AMD. The person also claimed to have sent this info by an unnamed source within SK Hynix.

According to this slide, the D32310/15 GPU will support 5,120 shading units, 320 TMUs, 96 ROPs and 80 CUs, along with 12 MB of L2 cache. Then there’s 24 GB of HBM2e VRAM, which will be split across four clusters, and operating on a 4,096-bit bus along with a bandwidth of 2,048 GB/s.

Even though no one can actually infer any solid info from this leaked specs which raised a debate on Twitter and some people feel that the information is consistent with what SK Hynix has already reported about its HBM2e and some disagree as well.

Otherwise, what we can infer is AMD up to something and they will not stop against the likes of NVIDIA Ampere GPUs so it will be interesting to see when Big Navi launches and will it be based out of RDNA or the RDNA 2 architecture.
