## **Why Was Bhoot Bangla’s Release Date Delayed?**

The blockbuster run of Ranveer Singh’s *Dhurandhar: The Revenge* has prompted the makers to defer Bhoot Bangla’s release by a week. Producer Ektaa R Kapoor said the move will allow both films the “attention they deserve.”

As of day 14, Dhurandhar 2 collected a total of ₹920.02 crore in net domestic collections and ₹1,446.47 crore worldwide — numbers that made it clear: no film wants to battle that monster at the box office.

Kapoor said the decision was made after “extensive discussion” and “multiple requests” from their distribution partners and exhibitors across key markets, and she is confident it will “benefit audiences.”

## **This Is Actually Bhoot Bangla’s Third Date Change**

Bhoot Bangla was initially scheduled to release on April 2, 2026, before being postponed to May 15, 2026, and later preponed to April 10, 2026. The release was subsequently delayed again to avoid a box office clash with Dhurandhar: The Revenge. It has been quite the scheduling rollercoaster!

## **Why Bhoot Bangla Is Still One of 2026’s Most Awaited Films**

Bhoot Bangla marks the much-awaited reunion of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan, a duo known for delivering iconic comedy hits. Their previous collaborations, including *Hera Pheri*, *Bhool Bhulaiyaa*, *De Dana Dan*, *Bhagam Bhag*, and *Garam Masala*, continue to enjoy a strong fan following.

The film is a horror-comedy based on Indian mythology and black magic, with inspiration drawn from ancient texts such as the Vedas and the Mahabharata. With Pritam’s music already generating buzz — including the viral song *Tu Hi Disda* — the wait for April 17 is real.
