Bharathanatyam 2: Mohiniyattam follows Sasidharan Nair as his family travels to Sreekandapuram to settle matters related to his late father’s second family, leading to unexpected criminal, scandalous, and high-tension situations.

The film is a sequel to the 2025 movie Bharathanatyam, which received an underwhelming response in theaters but later became a surprise hit after its OTT release. That sleeper-hit status only built up anticipation for this second chapter.

## What Audiences Are Saying

The X (formerly Twitter) buzz around the film is genuinely exciting. Here’s a summary of what early viewers are saying:

One viewer described the film as a spoof of the mega-hit Drishyam, calling it a black comedy where all the jokes land well — a full-on family entertainer and a decent watch.

Another netizen called it highly entertaining, with continuous comedy from beginning to end, noting that viewers would enjoy it more if they set aside logic — and that despite elements of dark humour, it remains thoroughly fun.

A third user gave it 4.5 out of 5, calling it the best Malayalam film they had watched that year — a rare kind of film where, like its first part, they enjoyed every single moment without taking their eyes off the screen.

Perhaps the most striking reaction: one netizen hailed it as the best Malayalam film in the dark comedy genre released in the last ten years, praising it for having zero lag moments, no unnecessary scenes or characters, and being a complete laugh riot from start to finish.

## Should You Watch It?
