# BGMI Masters Series Season 5 Enters Playoffs with ₹1 Crore Prize Pool

The BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 5 has commenced its Playoffs stage, with 16 teams set to compete for the remaining 10 berths in the Grand Finals. Esports organizer NODWIN Gaming ([https://nodwingaming.com/](https://nodwingaming.com/)) announced the development on August 31, 2026, as the tournament progresses towards its championship conclusion with a prize pool exceeding ₹1 crore.

Following three weeks of competition, six teams have already secured direct qualification for the Grand Finals. These include iQOO Team Tamilas, Elite Nova Esports, iQOO SOUL, Nebula Esports, Gladiators Esports, and IRIS MYTH. iQOO Team Tamilas led the Super Weekend leaderboard with 460 points.

The tournament has garnered significant viewership, recording over 20 million total views and accumulating more than 7 million watch hours. Peak concurrent viewership, including watch parties, surpassed 220,000. Individually, Hydro from Team Apex Gaming leads the elimination charts with 198 takedowns, placing him at the forefront of the Most Valuable Player (MVP) standings. Vasista Esports and Gladiators Esports are currently tied with 11 Winner Winner Chicken Dinners (WWCDs) each.

## BGMI : Overview

Among the 16 teams advancing to the Playoffs are iQOO Orangutan and GodLike Esports. Both organizations recently participated in the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) at the Esports World Cup, securing spots in its Grand Finals before returning to domestic play. Their involvement in international circuits is anticipated to heighten the intensity of the BGMS Playoffs.

The Playoffs are scheduled from August 31 to September 2, featuring six matches daily. The top 10 teams from this stage will join the six already qualified in the Grand Finals, which will run from September 4 to September 6. These final matches will determine the championship title and the distribution of the prize pool.
