Some films don’t just release — they take over. **Bethlehem Kudumba Unit**, starring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju, is doing exactly that. Eighteen days into its theatrical run, the Malayalam drama has stormed past the Rs 273 crore mark globally, and it’s still climbing.

## A Box Office Juggernaut in the Making

On Day 18 alone, the film added roughly Rs 5.50 crore to its worldwide tally. Of the total Rs 273 crore gross, a massive Rs 120.75 crore has come from Kerala alone — proof of just how deeply the film has connected with home audiences.

What makes this run genuinely historic is the speed. The movie needed only 17 days to overtake the record set by *L2: Empuraan*, and it has now emerged as the **second-highest-grossing movie of all time at the worldwide box office** for [Malayalam cinema](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malayalam_cinema) — an industry that has been on an unprecedented growth streak lately.

## What’s Next for the Film?

In Kerala, the film is expected to overtake *Lokah Chapter One: Chandra* by the end of the day, making it the **second-biggest grosser** in the state’s history. By the end of this week, it’s also poised to beat *Vaazha 2’s* lifetime cume, which would officially crown it an **All-Time Blockbuster**.

The big question now is longevity. South Indian films typically head to OTT platforms about four weeks after theatrical release, and if Bethlehem Kudumba Unit follows that pattern, it could leave some box office potential on the table.
