Against all expectations and some genuinely nervous viewership numbers, Netflix made a bold call — *BET* is coming back for Season 2. If you watched Yumeko tear through the gambling elite of Saint Dominic’s Academy and were left stunned by that finale revelation, you’re not alone. The wait for answers is real, but at least now we know they’re coming.

## BET Season 2 Confirmed — Here’s the Full Picture

After taking several weeks to make the decision, Netflix officially renewed *BET* for a second season, with lead actress Miku Martineau announcing the news via Netflix’s social channels.

Showrunner Simon Barry expressed excitement for the renewal, stating his happiness for “BET fans from all over the world” and his eagerness to return the cast and crew to St. Dominic’s for “more gambling and general madness.”

Filming for Season 2 is eyeing a Summer 2026 start, with a Netflix release potentially arriving in Fall 2026 or later, following the roughly 12-month gap between filming and release that the show observed for Season 1.

## What to Expect in Season 2

Season 1 ended with a series of explosive revelations that set up a second season full of unfinished business.

**Yumeko’s mother is alive.** Ray’s dying words revealed that Yumeko’s mother had been in hiding all along to protect her daughter — but as the only person who knew her location, his death leaves Yumeko with no obvious path to finding her. [Movie Insider](https://www.movieinsider.com/m23620/reminders-of-him) Unless, of course, the yellow kakegurui chip Yumeko has been unknowingly carrying all season holds the answers.

**The $30 billion blockchain question.** Yumeko’s mother locked away $30 billion in digital currency — and the access code is almost certainly embedded in that chip, though Yumeko has no idea yet. [Movie Insider](https://www.movieinsider.com/m23620/reminders-of-him)

**Michael’s moral crossroads.** Once Yumeko’s ally, Michael’s world was shattered when he discovered his father was responsible for her parents’ deaths. Season 2 will likely see Michael wrestling with his loyalties — potentially becoming Yumeko’s most dangerous adversary. [Movie Insider](https://www.movieinsider.com/m23620/reminders-of-him)

**Kira vs. Riri for school supremacy.** While Kira has emerged as an unlikely ally for Yumeko, her sister Riri has now earned their father Arkadi’s favour and claimed the role of school board representative — setting up a sibling power struggle that could define Season 2’s school politics. The [Kakegurui manga](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kakegurui_%E2%80%93_Compulsive_Gambler) — on which *BET* is based — has been beloved globally since 2014, and this English-language adaptation clearly has enough source material and story threads to run for several seasons.
