The new Xiaomi HyperOS has a lot of customisation options for the lock screen, an improved gallery, the ability to get rid of bloatware, and other features. It’s obviously a breath of fresh air that Xiaomi is switching from MIUI to something they call HyperOS.
With its promise of an experience beyond the pervasive dominance of Android, Xiaomi HyperOS sparks rumblings of revolution.
Features of Xiaomi HyperOS details
Lock Screen Customisation
About customizing the lock screen on HyperOS, Xiaomi has performed admirably. Xiaomi has done a great job implementing it, which seems identical to what Apple introduced with the iOS 16 upgrade.
To begin with, you can set your own photo as your lock screen and enable the Depth effect if you’re feeling very egotistical. Next are the many lock screen designs, from which you can select a lock screen style from the Classic, Rhombus, or Magazine categories.
Gallery App Improvement
Though the original Xiaomi Gallery app was in perfect condition, there was nothing wrong with it. Xiaomi HyperOS has also made a difference in that regard, as we can now observe a revamped Gallery application that helps users grasp its capabilities.
There used to be just two panels at the top of the Gallery app: Photos and Albums. Now that HyperOS has been released, we can see them moving to the bottom next to a third brand-new panel called Recommendations.
Bloatware Uninstallation
Bloatware on phones is something that brands need completely eliminate by 2024, especially on flagship models. Given that bloatware can now be removed with ease owing to Xiaomi HyperOS, it appears like Xiaomi is making significant progress in that direction.
Privacy and Security
A brand-new Privacy & Security page has been added to the Settings app by Xiaomi’s HyperOS. You can see all the information you require to improve your security posture right here. The way that all of the program permissions are now neatly shown on this screen. This made it really simple for us to perform a fast check when necessary.
Lightweight and Fast
HyperOS’s lightweight nature is one of its best features. To be honest, I was shocked to see that the Xiaomi 14 Pro’s operating system only used 8.76GB of internal storage. You now have a little bit extra space on your smartphone to work with.
Xiaomi has prioritized creating an operating system that is as light as possible, as evidenced by their past. Even the previous generation MIUI 14 requires about 13GB of space. To reduce the OS install size to less than 10GB, HyperOS takes that a step further.
