Bernd Leno is set to sign for Fulham in the coming days. Arsenal and Fulham have agreed a fee worth £8 million for the transfer of the goalkeeper, which is subject to the completion of a medical assessment and the other formalities.
Personal terms are not an issue for the German, having agreed a contract length and salary with the Cottagers. The player was Arsenal’s first choice goalkeeper between 2018 and 2021. However, he has lost his place to Aaron Ramsdale, who has taken the opportunity with both hands and is now Mikel Arteta’s first-choice.

Marek Rodak and Paulo Gazzaniga have been sharing goalkeeping duties, and helped promote the London club back to the Premier League. And in their ambition to stay up in the top flight, Bernd Leno is set to join the club, possibly as their first-choice goalkeeper.
Nuno Tavares has already left the club, joining Marseille on loan for the 2022/23 season. He is set to be followed by Leno in the coming days. Academy graduate Folarin Balogun is set to leave the club as well, with an agreement in place between Arsenal and Reims for the striker.
The move will be a loan deal until 2023, and the documents for the transfer will be signed soon. Thereafter, only the medical test will have to take place in order to make the transfer official.
