Barcelona are reportedly going all-in to sign Bernardo Silva from Manchester City. The Portugal international has been linked with a move to Camp Nou all summer. But, Pep Guardiola clearly stated that he wasn’t for sale around ten days ago.

But, a fee worth £68 million is now being discussed for the midfielder this summer as Barcelona look to add more players to their squad. Even though they are working with a tight squad cost limit, they continue to sign new players to build a team capable of winning trophies for Xavi.

Bernardo Silva to join Barcelona?

🚨🚨| FC Barcelona believe that Frenkie De Jong will leave the club. Joan Laporta has already told Jorge Mendes that the club will advance to sign Bernardo Silva & Pep Guardiola will not stop his departure.@HelenaCondis [🎖️]

The versatile midfielder has been very important for Pep Guardiola during the last few seasons. But, is being linked with a switch to Barcelona even though he has a contract with City until 2025.

The Premier League champions are eyeing Lyon midfielder Lucas Pacqueta for £68 million to replace Bernardo Silva if he leaves. The Brazilian has been quite impressive during his time in France, scoring 20 goals in 76 games for Lyon.

Barcelona’s midfield situation is still complicated at the time, as they need to sell Frenkie De Jong. The Dutch international is unwilling to take a pay cut or renegotiate his contract in order to stay on. As a result, Barcelona want him to leave the club to make room for their new players. If he is sold, he could be replaced with Silva in the coming weeks.
