Bengaluru FC released Dimas Elgado after 4 years of excellent service at the club. The club has announced the departure of the Spanish player today.
In the official Twitter handle, the club said, “For the wand, the rabbit, the hat, and a touch that turned everything to gold. Farewell, Dimas Delgado.”
Dimas Delgado joined Bengaluru FC in 2017. He has played 72 matches for the club and scored 4 times. He also won an Indian Super League and Super Cup with Bengaluru FC.
However, he was left out of Bengaluru FC’s AFC Cup squad. Dimas was disappointed with the decision. He tweeted, “I feel bad for not getting a chance in the final team of the AFC Cup. Although we started preparing. I was also making myself that way. But the club decided not to take me. I respect him. I will continue to support my teammates and the team.”
Yesterday, he revealed his thought before leaving the team hotel in Goa. He said, “When I came here, I never imagined that I would spend, maybe the four best seasons in my life as a football player here. As a person I enjoyed everyday here. Because of you, the boys in the club, my family also enjoyed a lot.”
It was a very emotional moment for Dimas before leaving the club.
