Netflix’s Below features Josh Hartnett in a moody, Newfoundland-set sea monster saga. While the stunning cinematography and intense family drama shine, the horror often falls flat.

The series prioritizes emotional depth over creature-driven thrills, leading to a surprisingly sympathetic finale. It’s a compelling character study disguised as a monster movie—perfect for drama lovers, but perhaps too tame for pure horror fans.
