Last week the Board of Control for Cricket in India was facing serious regarding hosting the 2nd phase of the Indian Premier League in UAE. Starting from the cricket boards all round the world being reluctant to allow their players to take part in the marquee tournament to the ICC being in doubt regarding the conditions of the wicket post the conclusion of IPL.

However, with just one simple move the BCCI have cleared all the obstacles they were facing although their only worry remains match congestion in the 2nd phase of IPL as the 2nd phase of the Indian Premier League begins on September 19th to October 10th; Although the match schedule has not been announced yet it will be worth noticing how the BCCI tackles this problem.

The BCCI has announced that the qualifier stage or the 1st phase of the T-20 World Cup is being shifted to Oman and the T-20 World Cup qualifiers will be taking place there itself thus relieving the International Cricket Council of their doubts regarding their doubts regarding the pitch conditions after the end of the Indian Premier League therefore providing them enough time for conditioning the pitch as deemed appropriate.

Moreover as BCCI plan to conclude the Indian Premier League by 10th October therefore there will be a gap of 2 weeks giving enough time between the cash rich Indian Premier League and the esteemed ICC T-20 World Cup. Therefore the Board of Control for Cricket in India hopes that the cricket boards across the globe won’t be hesitating to grant NOCs to their respective players.

The qualifier stage of the T-20 World Cup begins from October 17th whereas the main stage of the ICC T-20 World Cup starts from the third week of October while the IPL ends on 10th of October.
