The decision to update the contracts was taken during the Apex Council meeting in December last year. Jadeja’s promotion is well-deserved as he has been a consistent performer for the Indian cricket team. Hardik Pandya has been promoted from Grade B to Grade A in the contract list. Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav have also received promotions in the central contracts, moving from Grade C to Grade B. However, batter KL Rahul has been demoted to Grade B from Grade A.
