Norwich City right-back Max Aarons has been attracting the interest of Bayern Munich and Manchester United. The 21-year-old is the most valuable player in the Championship and is marked at €20 million by Transfermarkt.

Aarons is a big target for Bayern Munich in the summer, and more importantly, the Bavarians want to be sure that they can sign the player. They are in contact with the player’s agent, as well as the player himself. A fee worth €35-€40 million has been asked for by Norwich City and is reportedly set to be matched by the Germans.

Aarons has been involved in 1 goal and 3 assists this season for Norwich in the Championship. More impressively, the youngster has managed to play 100% of the minutes available on the pitch in the league, showing his reliability and consistency in the squad. The 21-year-old also has seven England U21 caps to his name, making his debut in 2019.

Bayern will focus a lot on defense in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio on the Here We Go podcast on Patreon, with David Alaba leaving the club and Jerome Boateng on his way out.

Manchester United are interested in Aarons, but Bayern are more invested due to the uncertainty over Buona Sarr, who they signed in the summer of 2020. The arrival of Aarons would enable Bayern to choose a reliable cover for Benjamin Pavard in right-back without compromising Joshua Kimmich in midfield to shift into the position.
