Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch from Ajax are both expected to join Bayern Munich in the summer from Ajax. The two deals are in the final stages of being completed, and it is only a matter of time before they have been fully agreed between the two clubs.
But despite the progress on the two deals, Bayern Munich chairman Oliver Kahn has remained tight-lipped about the two Ajax players, saying: “We don’t speak about players who are under contract at other clubs. It’s about respect for other teams”
Bayern Munich in final stages of Mazraoui and Gravenberch transfers
Noussair Mazraoui was in direct contact with Barcelona for a transfer in the summer. The right-back’s contract expires in the summer, and he will be able to join a club of his choosing as a free agent. The negotiations with Barcelona seem to have collapsed and he is now closing in on a move to Bavaria.
Ryan Gravenberch, on the other hand, has been a long-term target for the German giants. With one year remaining on his current deal, Ajax will be receiving a fee worth €25 million in total for the Dutch international.
The Bayern Munich chairman also provided optimistic updates on the contract situations of Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller and Serge Gmabry. They are in contact with the club and the board is hopeful of announcing their extension in the near future.
On the other hand, Robert Lewandowski’s future is yet to be decided despite the board confident about keeping him beyond the summer.
