Bayern Munich had a poor start to this campaign. So to be back on track they sacked Niko Kovac in November and appointed Hansi Flick as the head coach on an interim basis.
The 55-year-old has impressed the club hierarchy after taking up the job. So now Flick has been gifted with a permanent contract till 2023 showcasing the trust and faith the club has put in him for taking the club forward.

Hansi Flick himself was a Bayern Munich player who played 5 seasons at the Allianz Arena in the 1980s.
Flick told Bayern Munich’s official website after penning down the contract: “I look forward to tackling the upcoming tasks together with my coaching staff and the team. The conversations I’ve had with the board were very good and evidenced the mutual trust that exists between us.
“Together, we have defined the direction we want to take in the coming years and I’m sure that we can achieve a lot together.”
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “The club are very happy with his work. The team has developed very well under him and are playing attractive football which is reflected in the results.”
“We are the only German club who still have a chance at winning three competitions. I like the way he leads the team and he has great human qualities. The club trust him and we are convinced that he will help us achieve our goals for the future.”
