According to Christian Falk of BILD, German giants Bayern Munich are losing about €4 million with every single match being played in Bavaria. The renowned German journalist was the main guest for episode 14 of the “Here We Go” podcast, hosted by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on his Patreon.
He later went on to say that the treble winners do not have money to spend on players. That is one of the main reasons that they made so many last-minute signings in the summer transfer window.
Should Bayern Munich find that their squad is relatively fit before January, they might have a quiet mid-season window.
They are mainly interested in midfielders, with Kimmich spending a spell on the sidelines, Thiago having left the club, and Tolisso’s position unsure in the heart of the park.
Florian Neuhaus was one of the names mentioned by the duo during their conversation. The Gladbach midfielder is actually grabbing the attention from many clubs at the moment.
Denis Zakaria is also being watched by Bayern Munich. The player will be up for a sale if he doesn’t sign a new contract, or doesn’t have a release clause added to his existing deal.
The Foals could be holding out for a sum worth €40 million for the midfielder. However, it remains to be seen whether Bayern will have the need for a midfielder in the first place considering their heavy squad depth.
