Battlefield 2042 drops a new trailer showing off NVIDIA DLSS, Reflex, and Ray Tracing but with frame drops

The trailer shows off the promised features which the game will support such as Nvidia DLSS, Nvidia Reflex, and ray tracing, however, these amazing features are accompanied by the most disturbing problem of them all which is a significant drop in frame rate.

However, we cannot reach any conclusion by just the trailer as this could be also the effect due to how the footage was captured or any manner of other reasons, but check out the helicopter sequence that starts about 34 seconds in.

We can see that many action sequences are going on in that scene, but the performance here can only be described as choppy. Many are commenting that the testers who were recording the video forgot to turn on DLSS.

Another detail mentioned in the trailer is that is “ray-traced ambient occlusion,” which accurately adds shadows where things occlude light. However, this feature is only one of the several possible features of the RTX series, and the Battlefield V’s comprehensive RTX support saw it viewed as something of the golden child in this area.

Recently, we saw Battlefield 2042 seen the beta period of the game, and while many found the game to be rough around the edges, but the game is still simply amazing. Another early access period starts on November 12, and the game launches on November 19.
