After a breakthrough season with Las Palamas, 17-year-old Spanish midfielder joined FC Barcelona last summer in a €5 million move. In his first 8 appearances with FC Barcelona, he has already scored a goal. The teenager has shown some tremendous potential and excited FC Barcelona fans for the future.

It is a dream opportunity for the teenager to share the same dressing room with Lionel Messi. It is also an opportunity for him to learn from the very best of the game and it will also help him to grow in the future. Pedri is using this opportunity very well. In an interview with Diario Sport, he said, “Now is only about learning from him.”

“He helps me a lot on the pitch, Messi is giving me a lot of advice and that is brilliant. We have to enjoy him and not get involved in his future, that is up to him, now is only about learning from him.”, Pedri said about Lionel Messi.

Pedri is an attacking midfielder by trade. But the FC Barcelona manager is trying out him in different positions as well. On this matter, he said, “It is good to play in various positions and help the team where necessary. Where I generate the most danger is in midfield, but I can play in other positions and work for it.”

Pedri made his UEFA Champions League debut against Ferencvaros and scored his first goal in the FC Barcelona shirt.
