Barcelona transfer news: Roberto Firmino has not agreed anything with Barcelona as of yet, in spite of the rumours. The Liverpool forward has confirmed that he will be leaving the club at the end of his contract in June. But, he is yet to find his next club.
Barcelona are on the lookout to add a back-up to Robert Lewandowski this summer. Firmino, however, is only one of the options that the club is looking at as things stand.
Barcelona transfer news: Roberto Firmino yet to agree terms of free transfer
The Brazilian was part of the incredible Salah-Mane-Firmino trio that helped Liverpool gain prominence under Jurgen Klopp. With them, he has won every available trophy and has also established himself as a cult hero at the club.
But now, Roberto Firmino will be calling it a day after opportunities in the first team have become increasingly limited for him. There are several clubs trying to sign him, but are yet to reach a full agreement on terms.
Barcelona are also keeping tabs on Vitor Roque and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as backups for Lewandowski. They also need to find a way to work around FFP in order to register the likes of Inigo Martinez and Ilkay Gundogan, both of whom are expected to join the club this summer.
The club is also trying to bring back Lionel Messi, and they also have the option to add Yannick Carrasco from Atletico Madrid for €20 million, if they can afford it.
