NEYMAR has edged closer to a Barcelona return on a season-long loan deal with an option for a permanent transfer next summer.

Reports in Spain claim the Brazilian star, 27, is on the brink of heading “home” with Barca in “advanced talks” with Paris Saint-Germain over a deal.

Neymar Jr.’s situation at Paris Saint-Germain seems to be growing worse by the day. The Brazilian didn’t look very happy or excited as Paris Saint-Germain lifted the Trophee des Championes after defeating Rennes 2-1 thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappe and Angel di Maria.

But the French giants are holding firm on their valuation of him, and are apparently demanding £160million – still £38m less than they originally paid for him in 2017.

After Barcelona forked out £108m on Antoine Griezmann, it looked near impossible for them to fund a deal for Neymar as well.

Now as per the latest reports, the Brazilian might just finally get his wish before the transfer window is over. Barcelona has been struggling to convince Paris Saint-Germain to accept a cash + player deal as they’re short on funds after splurging heavily on Antoine Griezmann.
