Barcelona have agreed to sign Emre Demir from Kayserispor, on a contract until 2027. The player has been signed on a fee worth €2 million plus add-ons. He is an attacking midfielder and is left-footed naturally, the player will be staying at the Turkish club for the remainder of the season and will join Barcelona in the future.

“FC Barcelona and Kayserispor have reached an agreement for the transfer of Emre Demir for a cost of 2 million euros plus variables on a contract until 30 June 2027. The buyout clause will be set at 400 million euros. The player will be staying at the Turkish club until the end of the present season, after which he’ll be forming part of the Barça B setup.”

Interestingly, Demir had a trial at Barcelona in 2017, and will become the third Turkish player to sign for the La Liga side after goalkeeper Rustu Recber and midfielder Arda Turan.

Barcelona already have a talented set of youngsters at the clubs, with the likes of Pedri, Ansu Fati, Yusuf Demir and Riqui Puig gunning for game time in the first team. The arrival of a versatile talent like Emre Demir will only further set up the club for continued success in the future.
