Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, better known as Abde, has had a fine spell at Osasuna so far. The youngster is on loan from Barcelona, and scored both goals that allowed his side to earn a 2-1 win over Elche.
This season, Abde has scored five goals and provided two assists in 26 games, which isn’t a shabby return. He was briefly impressive at Barcelona as well, when he was given chances in the first team. But he was sent out on loan to get more minutes in La Liga, something which he now has.
Barcelona loanee Abde shines with brace against Elche
The youngster has shown remarkable technical ability, and was also called up to the Morocco national team for the 2022 World Cup. His priority is to return to Barcelona at the end of the season and try to get into the first team.
There is a good chance he could be given another chance in the first team when he returns. Otherwise, he could be sent out on another loan or sold as Barcelona need to manage their finances very carefully.
“The coach always tells me that I have to play in the second line, without staying back. I listened to him and got the goal,” Abde told DAZN when asked about the first goal. “The second was… I don’t think I’m going to do it again. It was a great goal, but I’m sure there’ll be more to come,” he continued.
