Barcelona and Besiktas are in talks for a loan move for Miralem Pjanic. The player was linked with Juventus for a long time this summer, but the Bianconeri went for Manuel Locatelli and did not complete a move for their former player.
As a result, Pjanic has been left wanting out of the club and he could be on his way to Turkey in the next few hours, where the transfer window is still open. The player is on a high wage at Barcelona, and the club are keen to get his fees off of their books so that they can achieve some form of financial stability.
The two clubs are reportedly in advanced negotiations, and Pjanic’s salary will be paid by his next club for the upcoming season. The player is now expected to be in Istanbul and is ready to accept the offer made by the Turkish club in favour of regular playing time for their team.
Pjanic joined Barcelona in a swap deal involving Arthur Melo going the other way, and since joining the Spanish giants, he has made 30 appearances for them without providing any goals or assists. The player has earned 101 caps for Bosnia and Herzegovina and is surely not a part of Ronald Koeman’s plans for the upcoming season.
He does not want to continue being on the bench for Barcelona, and will be announced as a new arrival for Besiktas soon, after the medical assessment has been completed and the contract signed by all the parties involved.
