After the 8-2 humiliating defeat against Bayern Munich, Barcelona has gone through a lot of changes. Quique Setien has been removed and replaced by former Barcelona player Ronald Koeman. Koeman was the manager of the Netherlands team before joining the Barcelona camp.

The Netherlands failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup but within 1 year Koeman had built a group of quality players who went all the way to the final of the 2019 UEFA Nations League. He knows the current group of Netherlands player very well and is planning to bring some of them to Camp Nou.

Inter’s Lautaro Martinex is out of the transfer market as the Serie A club wants to extend his contract. So, the Netherlands striker will sign a deal until June 2024. The official announcement will be made soon.

On the other hand, it will be difficult for Barcelona to convince Thiago Alcantara to make a comeback as he wants to play in the Premier League. So, Wijnaldum is Koeman’s first choice but it will be a complicated deal.

Barcelona will hope to finish all their transfer business within next week as they will be starting their 2020-21 campaign on 27th September against Villarreal.
