Barcelona are setting themselves up for an immense spending spree in the summer transfer window. Despite their financial crisis this season, the Blaugrana have been able to sign some good attacking talent in the winter transfer window.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ferran Torres and Adama Traore all joined the Culers in January. Barca have also confirmed the signing of Pablo Torre for the summer, who they regard as ‘the next Pedri’. But according to reports, Xavi and his team are not done with their transfer market activity just yet.

Barcelona’s transfer targets for the summer include Jose Gaya

The Valencia left-back has long been a target for Barcelona, and it seems like he could finally make the switch in the summer. His contract runs out in June 2023, and it seems like he will not sign a renewal with Los Che. Although there is a release clause worth €100 million in his contract, Barcelona will be getting the player for €10-15 million in June.

The team lacks depth in left-back, and Jordi Alba is the only natural player in the squad. So, a strong reinforcement like Gaya will be a welcome addition to the team.

In defense, Barcelona are also targeting a double swoop for Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta. Both the players have their contracts expiring at the end of the season, and have been approached by the Spanish club for a move. But, the green light for the transfer has not been given just yet.
