Barcelona are reportedly interested in Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, according to Fabrizio Romano on the Here We Go podcast. Nothing advanced has taken place yet, they are only talking with people around him. But he is on the list, and they are looking at other midfield targets after failing to land Gini Wijnaldum.

The German had his most prolific goal scoring this past season, lifting yet another Premier League title and Carabao Cup. He also made it into the finals of the Champions League againsg Chelsea, but ultimately fell short of the mark.

The Memphis Depay deal is still in the works. There are new people around Depay now, and Barcelona have improved the proposal not financially, but with a three years contract. He is taking some time and wants to think about it.

Ronald Koeman will be important in negotiations concerning the Dutch international.

Barcelona will be hoping to complete the deal next week, but will have to make sure it doesn’t go down the same route of the Wijnaldum deal. Hence, they will be wise to make haste over the player putting pen to paper.

In terms of departures, Junior Firpo can leave to Milan on loan this summer. Their respective agents are talking, and the player has no future at Barcelona by the looks of things. New Wolves manager Bruno Lage is looking at Francisco Trincao as an option. The winger was close to joining Leicester City on loan last summer, and is now being tumoriee with a loan love to the Molineux.
