Barcelona are close to agreeing a new kit deal with Nike that will see them receive a much needed cash boost. The new deal is reportedly worth around €100 million and would allow the club to return to the 1:1 rule starting from the January transfer window.
The announcement might be made later in October, once the final details have been ironed out between the two parties. Club President Joan Laporta has spoken about the deal on several occasions, and it could finally be confirmed soon.

The club’s financial issues have been well documented over the past few seasons. They have had to operate very carefully in the transfer window, and have been unable to spend freely compared to many of their rivals across Europe.
However, the club is slowly getting things back in order. The renovation of the Spotify Camp Nou, expected to be completed before Christmas, will surely help them recoup a significant amount of money.
But through all this, they haven’t had to make any major sales to balance out their books. As a result, the squad has remained competitive for the most part.
