Barcelona signed Yusuf Demir early in the transfer window, and it was recently revealed that there was a detailed clause in his contract regarding the terms of purchase.

Although Demir was originally signed for the Barcelona B team, his former club Rapid Wien inserted a clause that stated that Barcelona would have to buy the player if he played more than 20 games for the first team, and played 45 minutes in each game.

Since arriving on an initial loan deal for less than a million Euros, Demir has been quite impressive and has taken every chance given to him by Ronald Koeman. The Austrian assisted Memphis Depay in the Joan Gamper Trophy against Juventus, and has shown his fluent dribbling skills from the wings as well.

As a result, Barcelona have decided to make his transfer to Camp Nou permanent for €10 million. The clause would have seemingly been activated at the end of the season anyway since Demir looks set to be a regular in the first team, but Barcelona believe that they have seen the true potential of the winger and want to make him a permanent member of the squad as soon as they can.

The player was originally called up to train with the first team in preseason, and he impressed Koeman and the management to such a degree that they wanted him in the first team. Demir made his league debut for Barca in their draw against Bilbao, and looks set to feature many more times this term.
