Barcelona have reached an agreement with Konami to continue their partnership for an undisclosed period, as revealed by the company themselves on their social media accounts. As part of their continuation, fans will be able to continue playing with the club in eFootball, which is one of the leading football games in the world.

Fans will also be able to play in the Camp Nou, whilst it undergoes renovation in real life. To celebrate the continuation of their partnership, eFootball will be able to add club legends Rivaldo, Patrick Kluivert, and Javier Saviola to their Dream Teams. The cards will be available between 10-17 August.

Juli Guiu, FC Barcelona Vice President for Marketing, said: “We are very pleased to renew our agreement with KONAMI, a company that over the years has always demonstrated its commitment to FC Barcelona. KONAMI is a benchmark in the video game sector and will help us to forge new synergies with young audiences and to continue to explore possibilities in the realm of digital entertainment, a key sector for the expansion of our brand in the coming years.”

The partnership between the two began in the 2016-17 season and has continued since. Konami is labelled their Official Football Video Game Partner, and will continue to hold that title as part of their new arrangement.

The new deal will see Konami retain multiple rights with FC Barcelona, including player access, media opportunities, and event exposure.
