Barcelona agreed to pay €10m commission to the agent of Malcom

During the series of flop signings by the Catalonian giants, FC Barcelona, one of the flop was the €41m signing of Brazilian forward Malcom from Bordeaux which was later proved as a transfer market error from the Catalonian giants.

The forward was on the list of the Blaugranas in the 2018/19 campaign and netted four goals in 24 appearances, with the most famous strike of him scoring up against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey semi-finals, however, he also scored against Inter in the Champions League.

However, the 23-year-old Malcom, who just started with six La Liga games for the Barca, followed a summer switch from Bordeaux in 2018 before shifting to Russia the ensuing year.

As per the report, Cadena Ser is now at the frontline of Barcelona news with the disclosure that the club also paid a €10m commission to the player’s representative Maria Minguella Pimentel to save his signing.

The forward player was announced as a signing by Roma, Italian giants before a reasonable switch saw him eventually move to Camp Nou.

It is now finally dicosed that Barca’s previous chairman Josep Maria Bartomeu along with other senior officials of the club signed a document to verify the payment of the agent when finalizing the deal.
