Rain during the night caused the outfield to get soggy, which delayed the start of play on Friday. In Kanpur, India chose to field first after winning the toss. The visitors entered the game with their lineup unaltered, while Bangladesh made two changes: Taijul Islam and Khaled Ahmed replaced Nahid Rana and Taskin Ahmed.
